Just now project
What this is
Introducing ‘JustNow – A Toolbox for Teaching Human Rights,’ a direct response to the invaluable feedback and insights shared by organizations and institutions actively engaged in the Model International Criminal Court (MICC) program. Our strategic partnership is dedicated to crafting cutting-edge methodological and didactical resources, purpose-built for both formal and non-formal youth educational initiatives. For over a decade, our project partners have pioneered the MICC Program, a transformative series of workshops immersing young minds in the culminating phases of historical war crimes trial cases. This program integrates intensive sessions on human rights, delves into the historical context of specific conflicts, and provides comprehensive training in criminal law, consistently revered by participants as an immersive experience. The ‘JustNow’ educational materials are designed to equip educators, youth workers, and budding peer leaders with the tools to implement MICC-inspired methodologies in classrooms, seminars, and various educational settings. This implementation aims to elevate learners’ awareness of diverse human rights and international criminal law issues, fostering a deeper understanding and engagement with these critical concepts.
